INTEGRAL WALL DESIGN

In 2005, Ridge Corporation successfully introduced the refrigerated transportation market to the concept of welding the lower scuff band to upper wall liner walls to create a single piece, integral wall liner. Today, PolarX has established itself as the liner of choice when it comes to the safe, efficient transportation of temperature sensitive goods. Our patented process, utilizes high frequency sonic welders to connect the upper wall liner to the scuff below. The weld creates a durable, hermetic seal, protecting the underlying insulating foam from moisture intrusion and degradation, much more consistent than hot gas joining. At the interface, Ridge-welded seams have a higher strength than the surrounding materials.

LIGHTWEIGHT BALLISTIC STRENGTH

Ridge high glass content panels and scuff liners incorporate the highest strength-to-weight ratio in the market. In many cases, Ridge scuff liners out-perform aluminum scuff in puncture strength.

LOWER MAINTENANCE COSTS

Ridge ballistic-grade materials do not bend, dent, or deform into new shapes like traditional aluminum scuffs.

THERMAL LIFE SPAN

Combining the insulative benefits of the thermoplastic composite material, the multi-layered high strength/high-pressure laminate structure, and the Polar X one-piece wall design helps prevent out-gassing and supports the integrity of the foam insulation.

GOOD LOOKS WITH A PURPOSE

The Royal Watson, glossy white, exterior surface treatment is more than just good looks. Standard with BioStat technology, it provides the next step in antimicrobial protection, prohibiting staining, unwanted odors, and both bacterial and fungal growth for the life of the trailer or truck body. The FDA likes it too, compliant with DIRECT FOOD CONTACT standards.

FOAM ADHESION

Our trademarked Surlok interior surface treatment, sets us apart from all others by giving our liners universal adhesion capabilities. Surlok takes adhesion to a whole new level with chemical/structural bonding ability to PU foams and adhesives, making scrim cloths and weaker mechanical bonds, a thing of the past.

NO STYRENE

Ridge products do not release STYRENE and are 100% recyclable.

ABRASION RESISTANCE

Ridge thermoplastic integral scuffs show far superior abrasion resistance when compared to aluminum or FRP.

EASE OF REPAIR
